Who am I?

Picture
Socially conscious, I am drawn to spaces that serve the public and am passionate about supporting the full humanity of the end user.  I appreciate clean lines, bold color, and a touch of whimsy.

My love for understanding human behavior and interaction helps me delve into the spoken and unspoken visions of the client and end user.  Beyond function and aesthetics, I design for the possibilities of a space.

Design marries my intellectual curiosity, my need to engage with and understand people, my love of a challenge, my passion to create positive social change, and my desire to bring beauty into the world.

My main areas of interest include: educational, healthcare, hospitality, commercial, retail, and institutional.

As for personal style, I am an explorer.  I draw on elements from around the globe and am often inspired by nature.  A jelly fish, a tulip, and a pistachio have all offered me jumping off points for designs.  Music, literature, dance, and other great expressions of life provide ideas to build upon and push me to design around the senses.  People are my ultimate inspiration.  Through design, I hope to contribute to a fuller and more humane society in which beauty, creativity, and joy flourish.
